On December 14th Ishtar Center for Democracy Support participates in the workshop organized by the Middle East Center for Research (MERI) and Al-Bayan Studies Center. Ishtar Center for Democracy Support, represented by its president, Dr. Muhammad Elwia, for two days, in the hall of the Babylon Hotel – Rotana
The program was attended by the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, and a number of government ministers and officials, including the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, the head of the National Security Agency, Hamid Al-Shatri, the advisor to the Prime Minister, Farhad Aladdin, and a number of advisors and advanced government staff, with the participation of a group of international think tanks and research, and a number of interested international agencies and organizations. on the Iraqi issue.
The tables discussed the government’s work strategies, economic and security policies, and the file of foreign relations. Recommendations from these institutions were submitted to the Prime Minister and his government team.
The recommendations raised by the Ishtar Center are:
1- Establishing a specialized department linked to the Prime Minister’s office concerned with supporting small projects for young people through cooperation with banks and providing soft loans for these projects to reduce dependence on the government job and revitalize the free market.
2- The need to pay attention to the role of civil society and provide real spaces to make it a partner in decision-making and a contributor to drawing up the state’s general policies.
