Our contribution to the preparatory committee for this initiative, which included a number of academics and young activists, after the great sectarian tension that arose before and after the entry of ISIS into Iraqi lands Through this initiative, we wanted to convey a message of peace and coexistence among the different spectrums of Iraqi society. This initiative included: Receiving the youth of Mosul and going with them to the Wadi al-Salam cemetery and visiting the graves of the Iraqi army martyrs who contributed to the liberation operations. A group lunch, where the Mosul youth got acquainted with the traditional folk dishes of the city of Najaf. A carnival of fraternity between the youth of the two cities at the University of Kufa hall, which included mutual welcome words.
