
Sponsored by: Amersi Foundation – London Prime Minister's Office – Supreme Council for Youth With the participation of 20 Iraqi, regional, and international institutions, the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support held its international conference in Baghdad from the 3rd to the 7th, under the title: "Baghdad Forum for Young Leaders" Young people today live in an era marked by rapid technological, social, political, and economic developments in Iraq, the region, and the world. These changes present both new opportunities and significant challenges. To meet these challenges, young leaders and innovators must be capable of adapting and leading. Through this forum, the Ishtar Center aimed to provide platforms for discussion and the exchange of ideas on how to empower youth and strengthen their roles. This event included participation from local, regional, and international experts, leaders, youth representatives, as well as government decision-makers, political leaders, and international institutions, all under both international and local sponsorship. The conference covered the following topics: The Role of Youth in Promoting Peace and Developing Political Systems – Regional and international experiences. Empowering Youth from a Global Perspective – Exploring the views of the international community on empowering youth leadership worldwide. Civil Society and Political Participation – Opportunities and challenges. This included discussions on strategies for civil society to develop mechanisms for youth and women’s political participation. Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation, and the Possibilities for Innovation. Young Politicians and Areas of Influence – Within political parties and the state. Dialogue Between Young Leaders and Political Decision-Makers.
