Al-Hakeem Attends Ishtar’s Ramadan Evening Gathering Baghdad – Saturday, 28 February 2026 The head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakeem, attended a Ramadan evening gathering organized by the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support. He was received by the Center’s President, Dr. Mohammed Alawia, along with a distinguished group of political and academic figures, youth leaders, and public opinion leaders. The event lasted for an hour and a half and included an in-depth discussion session during which Al-Hakeem addressed recent developments in Iraq’s political landscape, the process of forming the anticipated Iraqi government, and the importance of adhering to constitutional timelines to establish a government eagerly awaited by the Iraqi public. He also indicated that this matter may be resolved during the upcoming meetings of the relevant political parties. Participants also discussed the turbulent developments in the Middle East and Iraq’s position within the region, as well as the impact of ongoing conflicts on development across countries experiencing geopolitical tensions. The discussion emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty of states, avoiding interference in their internal affairs, and building international relations based on balance and mutual interests. At the conclusion of the evening, Al-Hakeem presented a symbolic gift to the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.
