Dr. Muhammad Elwia, head of the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support, met with Dr. Ayad Allawi, the former Iraqi prime minister. The two sides discussed many files, the most important of which are the upcoming early elections, the mechanisms of investing popular pressure, methods of putting pressure on the international community, and holding the elections on the terms put forward by the Iraqi street in terms of the integrity and transparency of the elections. Where Dr. Ayad Allawi praised the role of the Ishtar Center and stressed the importance of pressure groups and civil institutions in correcting the paths of the political process.
