These roundtables brought together senior government officials, policymakers, and decision-makers from both the executive and legislative branches, alongside young men and women participating in the conference. The discussions focused on key challenges, priorities, and issues affecting Iraqi youth, with particular emphasis on strengthening youth engagement with state institutions, fostering constructive dialogue, and creating opportunities for meaningful youth participation in public policy and decision-making processes. Each roundtable provided an interactive platform for participants to exchange perspectives, identify shared priorities, and explore practical recommendations for enhancing cooperation between young people and public institutions. The roundtables concluded with a set of key findings and recommendations, which were presented during the conference's closing session, highlighting the outcomes of these discussions and their potential contribution to future youth engagement initiatives. Attendance and Participation The inaugural conference brought together a diverse group of young men and women actively engaged in their communities from various governorates across Iraq. The event also welcomed government officials, parliamentarians, political leaders, and policymakers, alongside ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions operating in Iraq. Researchers, academics, journalists, and other stakeholders interested in youth engagement and empowerment were also in attendance, reflecting the broad institutional and community engagement surrounding the launch of Youth Nexus in Iraq.
